Creating with Words: Blackout Poetry This form of poetry would be exciting to implement into a unit about script analysis. After performing a thorough reading and analysis of a play, the students choose a page of the script to do blackout poetry that illustrates a main theme of the play Creating with Images: Emoji Story An emoji story could be used to assess if students understand the plot to a play we read in class. Additionally, it can be used when rehearsing monologues to show which tactics or actions the student will use with each sentence. Creating with Sounds: Song Catching During a unit on devising, the students research songs by asking their peers outside of class what songs they think of when given a specific theme or emotion. ReplyDeleteI enjoy the simplicity of your picture, yet it clearly shows what agency means to you: making choices even if they go against the norm or the standard. I like that at the end of the scratch in the table, there is even a circle of glare from the camera (which for me, shows that the scratch is moving towards joy or light like you were talking about). I wonder if there is a way that you could have incorporated some of the other elements you talk about in your picture, such as growth being the end result of agency?
